From 2/14/24 to 4/13/24, if your device is not damaged or malfunctioning you can enroll it in Verizon Mobile Protect or any of our other device protection options.
To qualify for Device Protection, your device must be:
  • Fully functioning—Including but not limited to: power on/off, microphone, charging port and battery.
  • Without damage—Including but not limited to: cracked screen or swollen battery.

Who is eligible for Verizon Mobile Protect?  Verizon Device Protect covers your mobile phones, smartwatches, and tablets that have a line on a Verizon mobile account. To be eligible for Verizon Mobile Protect (single or multi-device) you must enroll within 30 days of one of these events:
  • Purchased or upgraded to a new device and activate it on a new or existing line
  • Bring your own eligible device* that meets these criteria:
  • Is fully functioning, without damage (including liquid or cracked screens) and free of defects/malfunctions
  • Isn't lost or stolen
  • Is activated on a new line (not an existing line) 
*Note: When you bring your own device to Verizon, you may be eligible to get device protection for it. Eligibility determined at the point of sale. 3. How much does Verizon Mobile Protect cost? The monthly charge for device protection depends on which of these options you select and the number of lines with eligible devices on your account:
  • Verizon Mobile Protect (single device coverage):
  • $14 or $17/month depending on device type.
  • Verizon Mobile Protect Multi-Device:
  • $60/month per account for 4-20 lines* (3 registrations)
  • $50/month per account for 3 lines* (3 registrations)
  • $34/month per account for 2 lines* (2 registrations)

  • Unlimited number of insurance claims (for Verizon Mobile Protect Multi-Device, per registered line)  per 12-month period.
  • Maximum device value $3,000 per occurrence.
  • Cracked screen repair claims are unlimited.  5. How do I cancel Verizon Mobile Protect? 
You can remove Verizon Mobile Protect from your account at any time from the Services & Perks page in My Verizon or you can call or visit a store. You'll receive a prorated refund of your monthly charge. Important: If you have Verizon Mobile Protect on a line and want to switch to another device protection option, enroll in the new option first. Don't remove Verizon Mobile Protect until you're prompted to do so during the enrollment process. It could be the case that your device doesn't meet the criteria to get the other option.
